The World is your oyster.
Travel
From a young age, I have been up and down in airplanes traveling globally. A fun fact about me is I have been to 3/7 continents in the world. An aspiration of mine is to travel to Fiji!

More about me.
Born in South Africa — Raised in Alabama.
Coming from a different place, I have always been southern bred. My friends and family have always instilled in me life values that I carry into everyday conversations and interactions. As a Public Relations major, I have learned that communication and understanding is key. You are told relationships are built on trust, rapport, and camaraderie. Being a people person, I have always loved getting to know new people and learning about their different backgrounds and stories. With my Counseling minor, you learn a little more in-depth about these relationships you form. In those relationships, you gauge a better understanding of someone. People come from different upbringings and lives, some of which you can help better or they can help better you. These are some lessons that I am going to take with me after college.
After choosing to go to a new place, with new people, and a new curriculum, I did not know what to do. The football team loyalty somehow played into decision-making. However, I was determined to go against the crowd and venture out of my small town into…well, another small town. Even though Auburn may be smaller, the college experience seemed bigger than ever. I had to force myself to step out of my comfort zone and form new friendships while I was happy with the ones I already had. Even though this was hard at the time, I was sure I could make it work. Now—after four years—I have met the best of friends, made the most unforgettable memories, and am officially ready to do it all over again.
Stepping into the real world may be difficult, but I am up for the challenge. I have done my best to be the best I can be in a friend, student, and daughter. I put God first above all else. Coming from a family that has shown me what true grit and hard work is all about, I have been able to prove to myself that I can really do it. This means not letting myself be defeated by everyday obstacles and to go into each and every day with a smile. I joined a sorority, got involved in fun clubs around campus, and even cooked new recipes. The college experience has made me realize I can be independent and own it. I have had to establish a routine throughout the week, balance a social life with school and staying active, and make sure I was on track for success. After getting to know people through my classes, sorority, internship, and church, I know that there is much more out there in the world that I am not confined to – I hope that in the future, I am doing what makes me happy, fostering loving relationships, and traveling of course! Wherever I may be, I know that I am capable of pursuing great things and this website shows just a little bit of my personality, experiences, education, and more!
A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there.
